Pet Peeve of the Day

I’ve felt super busy this Christmas season, more so than last year. Not really sure why, but I have felt uber stressed this year compared to last.

I want to blog at least once a day, but that hasn’t exactly panned out as planned. I have so much to say and so many thoughts but it’s hard to articulate them sometimes… and finding the time to sit down is difficult this season.

I do have a pet peeve of the day though, though it is a rather petty one.

I’ve been reading online forums about people’s late deliveries this holiday season from Canada Post…

Pet Peeve of the Day:

People who complain about not getting their presents in time for Christmas.

Folks, there are a lot more pressing matters in this world than your loved ones or you not getting your beloved present in time for Christmas.

Instead of hankering about your toys and chocolates and gift certificates, maybe worry more about the homeless people freezing to death on the streets, the children who don’t get any gifts at all, and the people who just want to have a bed to sleep in.

Emailing Canada Post and checking on your order is not going to speed things up – especially at the busiest time of the year for them – so maybe take it easy.

Christmas exists whether you get presents or not. So what if you get it on Boxing Day? Or on January 1st? Does it mean Christmas didn’t come?

Nope. Stop spazzing, be patient, worry about something more substantial than presents, and be grateful you even are getting anything at all for the holidays.
